لم تستطع النجمة العالمية Selena Gomez حبس دموعها خلال تكريمها في حفل توزيع جوائز "Teen Choice Award"، الذي أقيم في لوس أنجلوس.
وقد حصلت Selena على أهمّ جائزة في حفلTeen Choice Awards، وهي جائزة "Ultimate Choice"، عن مجمل أعمالها الفنية وقائمة إنجازاتها الطويلة التي شملت عرضاً تلفزيونيّاً ناجحاً بعنوان "The Wizards of Waverly Place"، وأفلاماً مستقلّة، منها: Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers، بالإضافة إلى صدور ألبومها الغنائي المنفرد الأول في 2013 بعنوان" Stars Dance".
ولحظة اعتلاء النجمة، البالغة من العمر 22 عاماً، المسرح لتسلم جائزتها، انهمرت دموعها من شدّة الفرح والتأثر، وألقت كلمة خاطبت بها الجمهور، فقالت فيها: "لا أستطيع شكركم بما فيه الكفاية، خصوصاً في هذا الشهر. فقد تذكّرت بفضلكم أنّه وسط كلّ الهموم التي نتعامل معها، يبقى الأهمّ هو العطاء والمحبّة والرعاية".
